We have all experienced performance anxiety at some point in our lives, the pounding heart, the sweaty, shaky, clammy hands and the trembling voice. It can cripple the most talented performers and years of training for that important event can disappear within seconds.
Numerous studies have demonstrated that the mental and emotional component of a performance are more to blame for a poor result than the actual physical elements. Most performers understand this and try to combat it themselves by taking medication to slow down their heart rates in order to control their nerves. Some will do the opposite in order to be fully psyched up.
The problem with these methods are that we all have our own unique Individual Zones of Optimal Functioning (IZOF). In other words, we all have our own optimum levels of anxiety where we perform at our very best. For some this will be in a calm state and for others it might be in a more hyped state. Unless you know exactly what your IZOF is and how to maintain your performance in this zone, your performance can rapidly decline.
I am able to determine your IZOF and give you practical techniques that will help you maintain this optimum level of performance. I work with athletes, dancers, musicians, comedians, professional speakers/hosts and even the best man and father of the bride. I understand that people are different and therefore I draw upon a number of varied and esoteric techniques that ensure you are getting a very tailored approach that will deliver results.
